Utilizing surveys and spreadsheets could be very helpful in the classroom. Getting feedback from students would be extremely quick and easy using an online survey. Also allowing students to take tests and quizzes online, especially when they get instant feedback on whether or not they have the correct answer would really beneficial to students and would make them more excited and motivated for their assessments. Surveys could be used for interest inventories, ice breakers, voting on assignment choices, etc. You could also use spreadsheets to teach students how to collect data and organize it in an efficient manner. Making it a real world activity and having the students do the research and find the data gets them much more interested in it!
